Sori Volume Mixer Privacy Policy
Your audio stays on your Mac.
Sori Volume Mixer processes app audio locally. This policy explains the app’s local processing separately from visits to this website and information you choose to send for support.
Local audio
Audio is processed in memory on your Mac.
No app account
No Sori Volume Mixer account is required.
No automatic uploads
The app does not upload audio, settings, or diagnostics.
01. About this policy
Soriware operates Sori Volume Mixer and this website. The app adjusts the volume and mute state of apps on your Mac and appears as Volume Mixer inside the app.
The app does not send your audio, saved settings, app information, or diagnostic logs to Soriware or to an analytics or advertising service. Website access and information you choose to send by email are described separately below.
02. Audio and permissions
Volume Mixer uses macOS system audio permission to process audio from apps being controlled. Audio is processed in memory on your Mac so that volume or mute can be applied to playback. Volume Mixer does not save audio recording files, upload audio, record microphone input, or capture screen images.
You decide whether to grant system audio access. You can review or revoke permission in System Settings under Privacy & Security. macOS may group this permission under Screen & System Audio Recording; the wording depends on your macOS version. Without the required permission, app audio control cannot operate normally.
03. App information and local settings
To display and control the correct app, Volume Mixer reads local information about audio-playing processes, app names and identifiers, and output-device configuration. Process identity checks help avoid applying an existing audio session to a different process. This information is processed on your Mac.
Volume and mute choices for identified apps are stored in a local settings file inside the app’s macOS container. The file contains app identifiers and your chosen volume and mute values. Volume Mixer does not upload or synchronize it.
If you choose to import settings from a previous installation, the macOS file picker grants access to the file you select. Volume Mixer reads and validates the file, then stores an independent copy in its container. It does not modify or delete the original. Cancelling the file picker does not import settings.
Saved settings remain on your Mac until changed or removed. To remove them, quit Volume Mixer before removing its local settings file. The next launch will require setup again. Copies or backups you create are separate from the app’s settings file.
04. Optional local diagnostics
Normal app use does not enable diagnostic-file recording. If you explicitly launch the app with the diagnostic-file option, it writes a local diagnostic file at the permitted location you supply.
That file may contain timestamps, app and process identifiers, output-device identifiers, volume and mute choices, processing counters, error messages, and local paths mentioned by errors. It does not contain recorded audio samples or screen images.
Diagnostic files are not sent automatically. You decide whether to share one and can delete the local file yourself. Review it before sharing, since identifiers and paths can reveal information about your Mac and the apps you use.
05. App services and tracking
The app has no account service, advertising, in-app analytics, automatic diagnostic upload, or cross-app tracking integration. Its audio controls and settings work locally.
Apple operates the App Store and macOS permission and diagnostic services separately. This policy describes Sori Volume Mixer’s own processing.
06. This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process connection information, such as your IP address, traffic routing information, and system configuration information, to deliver and protect the site.
The page code does not include advertising trackers, analytics tools, or a contact form. Cloudflare’s service processing is described in its Privacy Policy. The support retention period below does not describe Cloudflare’s own service records.
07. Support email
If you contact support@sorimixer.app, Soriware receives your email address, message, and any files you choose to send, and uses them to handle your request. Information sent by email is separate from the app’s local audio processing.
Messages are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to Soriware’s support inbox and processed by the email service providers involved in delivery. Please do not send audio recordings or personal information that is not needed for your request.
Support messages and attached diagnostic files are deleted from Soriware’s support records within 90 days after the request is resolved. This does not delete copies in your own mailbox or files stored on your Mac.
08. Privacy questions and requests
For questions about this policy, or to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent for support, contact Soriware at support@sorimixer.app.
09. Changes to this policy
Updates to this policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
